Issue #23 — Territorial Authority: How Influence Expands in the Spirit
You were never called to only survive.
You were called to occupy.
Many believers fight just to maintain peace…
while others step into a dimension where they begin to shift environments.
The difference is not effort.
It is authority.
There is a level where you are no longer reacting to attacks—
you are establishing influence.
Feature Teaching: Territorial Authority — Expanding Your Influence
Authority is not just personal.
It is territorial.
“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
— Matthew 18:18
This is not symbolic language.
It is a governing principle.
What you allow…
What you permit…
What you tolerate…
Determines what operates in your environment.
1. Every Believer Has a Sphere of Influence
Your territory may not be a nation—
but it is something.
Your:
home
family
workplace
circle
These are not random spaces.
They are assigned environments.
“Let them have dominion…”
— Genesis 1:26
Dominion always starts where you are.
2. What You Tolerate Becomes Established
Authority is revealed through what you allow.
If fear is tolerated, it grows.
If compromise is tolerated, it spreads.
If disorder is tolerated, it multiplies.
You don’t lose territory overnight—
you lose it through passive agreement.
3. Authority Expands Through Alignment
God does not increase territory without increasing alignment.
“Enlarge the place of your tent…”
— Isaiah 54:2
Expansion requires:
structure
discipline
obedience
If you cannot govern a small space,
you cannot be trusted with a larger one.
4. Your Mind Sets the Boundary of Your Territory
Before territory is expanded externally,
it is established internally.
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
— Proverbs 23:7
If your thinking is limited,
your authority will be limited.
You cannot take ground outwardly
that you have not first secured inwardly.
5. Territorial Authority Requires Consistency
Authority is not a moment.
It is a maintained position.
Jesus didn’t just demonstrate authority once—
He walked in it consistently.
“Having done all, to stand.”
— Ephesians 6:13
Consistency establishes dominion.
6. Territory Must Be Guarded After It Is Taken
Taking ground is one thing.
Keeping it is another.
“When an unclean spirit goes out… it returns…”
— Matthew 12:43–45
If territory is not filled with truth,
it becomes vulnerable again.
Freedom must be maintained intentionally.

Step 1 — Identify Your Sphere
Where has God given you influence right now?
Step 2 — Remove Tolerance
What have you allowed that should not remain?
Step 3 — Establish Order
Bring alignment into your environment.
Step 4 — Speak with Authority
Declare truth over your territory.
Step 5 — Decree:
“I establish authority in every area God has given me.
What I allow aligns with truth.
My territory is governed by the Kingdom of God.”
Battle Assignment (Homework)
Study: Read Matthew 18 and Ephesians 6
Reflect: Where have you tolerated what you should confront?
Act: Take one area of your life and bring it fully into alignment
End with this decree:
“I do not just survive—I establish dominion.”
Prayer: Establishing Dominion
Father,
Show me the areas You have entrusted to me.
Give me wisdom to govern them correctly.
Remove passivity and strengthen my authority.
Teach me to establish and maintain what You have given.
Let Your order, truth, and power flow through my life into every environment I touch.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
